RULES
Following the Club rules makes everyone’s
time in the Club more pleasant, rewarding,
and fun.To enter, all members and guests
scan their card or sign in at the desk. You
need a current membership or you can pay a guest
fee or Tufts guest fee to use the Regency
Club or swimming pool. Spouses who are not
members themselves have no membership
privileges.
Please wear appropriate footwear for all
fitness classes and workouts throughout the
gym. Wearing work boots, street shoes,
business shoes, deck shoes, sandals, and
flip flops is not safe.
RESPECT OTHERS
During peak hours and when the Club is busy,
please limit your session on the cardio
equipment to 30 minutes. That will allow
everyone to enjoy the equipment.
Use whichever machine is available rather
than waiting for your favorite. It’s unfair
to inconvenience someone by asking them to
move to another piece of equipment.
In the free weight rooms, please put the
weights back on the racks after use; avoid
monopolizing the equipment for multi-setting
if others are waiting; and don’t drop
weights on the floor. Be respectful of other
members by letting them work in or take
turns using the equipment. For safety,
please avoid propping weights, plates, or
bars against equipment, walls, or mirrors.
In the Nautilus room, please do not
monopolize equipment by multi-setting if
others are waiting. Be respectful of other
members by letting others work in or take
turns using equipment.
PRACTICE PROPER GYM ETIQUETTE
Remember to use appropriate language.
Inappropriate language, grunting, or making
noises anywhere in the Club can spoil a good
time for others. It will not be tolerated.
Just use your common sense and avoid
anything that might be offensive. We
encourage a satisfied smile, high five, or
appreciative nod after a personal best.
Use proper gym etiquette and wipe down
the equipment after you have completed your
workout. For your convenience, paper towels
and cleaning solution are stationed
throughout the Club. You’ll appreciate this
rule when you see the person in front of you
cleaning off the equipment before you get
on. |
